BMW Sweeps MOTORRAD Magazine’s 2019 Motorcycle of the Year Votes

It’s been another impressive year for BMW Motorrad. This year, it brought home the win in Crossovers, Enduro/Supermoto and Sport Bikes. In addition, BMW motorcycles ranked in four of the second place spots and two of the third place spots. Let’s take a closer look at the victors and what they have to offer you.

Top BMW Motorrad Winners

The BMW S 1000 RR won first place in the Sport Bike category with 22.1% of votes. Its win was primarily due to the light, fast and uncompromising design. Readers also appreciate the ShiftCam technology that makes the bike more controllable than ever before.

Once again this year, the BMW S 1000 XR took home the top honor for Crossover with 20.4% of the votes. Not only does the unique design help it to remain the favorite, but the sport-geared riding dynamics and touring qualities continue to impress riders.

The BMW R 1250 GS & R 1250 GS Adventure achieved 23.5% of the vote to showcase their intense popularity with riders. The advanced boxer engine comes complete with the ShiftCam Technology for a powerful, potent experience.

BMW bikes had a lot to offer riders this year. Both the R 1250 RS and R 1250 RT touring models came very close to winning. The BMW R nineT also came in second place during the Modern Classic competition. The iconic design combined with sporty dynamics continues to excite. For the Entry Level category, readers happily voted the BMW G 310 R/GS models into second place, further proving the all-around potential for these bikes. The BMW C evolution took second place as a Scooter while the C 650 Sport and C 650 GT seized a third place spot.
