BMW Motorrad is making available more than $1 million in contingency money to support racers who choose their popular S 1000 RR superbikes. Racers who ride a 2015, 2016 or 2017 S 1000 RR will be able to take part in the program that is meant to reinforce BMW Motorrad’s commitment to privateer BMW motorcycle racers, said Sarah Schilke, the National Marketing Manager for BMW Motorrad USA.
To even further support the racing community, BMW Motorrad is offering a Racer Support 
Program incentive on the S 1000 RR that any racer who has earned top finishes in eligible series can partake in. This purchase support incentive includes a slashed purchase price, monetary rider incentive, the HP Race Package and an HP Race Power Kit. Additionally, BMW Motorrad has brought aboard a certified BMW HP Race Engineer to enhance the success of BMW racers.

The BMW S 1000 RR features a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine that puts out 193 horsepower and 83 ft.-lbs. of torque. The water-cooled engine features two camshafts, four valves per cylinder, and is mated to a six-speed constant-mesh gearbox that features a multi-disc, anti-hopping clutch in an oil bath. The supersport bike uses a bridge-type frame made from cast aluminum. The light supersport weighs in at just 455 lbs. fully fueled.
Eligible racers who hold current licenses for race series included in the contingency program and who have earned top finishes in those race series should apply for savings on a new 2016 BMW S 1000 RR at their local BMW Motorrad dealer.
