The new BMW M 1000 XR features a powerful M XR four-cylinder based on the RR engine to give it top performance. The design of the motorcycle engine ensures that it produces 201 horsepower at 12,750 RPM, a large amount of torque, improved traction, and an increased maximum engine speed of 14,600 RPM. This improved performance also includes shorter secondary and gear ratios to keep it toe to toe with competitors.
The BMW M 1000 XR is available with an M Competition Package and an individual option. Both designs offer refined components and racing technologies to improve your experience, especially on race tracks and cross-country roads.
The M Competition package also includes a fully adjustable M rider footrest system, M Carbon Wheels, an MGPS Laptrigger (unlock code), passenger footrests, and M Carbon parts such as a front wheel cover, side panels, an integrated chain guard, inner cover, and an ignition/steering lock cover.
The design system of the new BMW M 1000 XR allows you to accelerate earlier and reduce wheelies while you brake later, thanks to the unique aerodynamic downforce feature. The winglets around this motorcycle’s front panel help you get top stability at high speeds while ensuring a faster lap time on race tracks.
The M Brakes on the new BMW M 1000 XR are modified based on the experience gathered from the racing brakes of the Motorrad factory racing machines from the Superbike World Championship. The M Brakes feature a radial hand brake pump, black anodized aluminum brake disc carriers, and two brake discs. The Brake Slide Assist allows race track riders to drift into corners and bends with a constant slide.
The new BMW M 1000 XR includes an instrument cluster with an M start-up animation on a sharp 6.5-inch TFT display. It also features a unique extended display of the rev counter. The M GPS Datalogger and the M GPS Laptrigger can also be used with this display.
